Study material for the basic exam:
CUARC will be holding it's fall 2011 study group starting Tuesday the 11th of October from 18:00 to 19:30. This will take place from your office at H734-4 of the Hall building on the downtown campus of Concordia. This study group is expected to take 8 weeks where we will using the modules available at http://www.emergencyradio.ca/course/. Please come prepared to the study groups by reading the module for the week in question.
If you are unable to make it to a study group or begin later in the term do not worry. The material is not that to grasp and you should be able to catch up.
This June 25th and 26th, the Corcordia University Amateur Radio Club will hold a joint Field day event with the Montreal Amateur Radio Club (MARC) and the West Island Amateur Radio Club (WIARC).
VE2CUA is currently participating in the SCR by the ARRL. Due to limitation to our current installation we are only doing FM on 2M. So if you are around the south-west Montreal area listen up on the simplex frequency, we might be calling cq.
CUARC will be present at the 2010 club fair in the SGW campus. Come meet us on the terrace and sign up to the Ham radio club of Concordia. Information about the club will be available along with radios and morse keys.

Due to a request by members we now have a dedicated section on the forum where members can post their queries and questions about the amateur radio exams. So you now have three different methods to voice your questions; mailing list, meetings and the forum.
